Beechfield Thinsulate Beanie

Thinsulate is a synthetic fiber developed by 3M. It was first marketed as a more cost efficient alternative to down and it was advertised as twice as warm as any natural fabric. Thinsulate is also a key material of the Beechfield Thinsulate Beanie. This beanie was meant to be worn outdoors. This beanie is made of 100% soft-touch acrylic. Soft-touch acrylic is plastic. That’s right, this beanie is made of plastic yarn. But you’ll never know it. Soft-touch may be plastic but it looks like, feels like and behaves like wool. Adding to the warmth of the Thinsulate is a double layer knit.
